Big Boy Shooting Galleries is all about making shooting fun in a safe environment. The business to do this, was formed and registered in the State of Texas in March 2013 as a Limited Liability Company. Jerry Watkins and Bill Bonjonia are Managing Members. They are father-in-law and son-in-law.
Jerry Watkins has been buying and selling antique targets and shooting galleries for over 20 years. During that time he had one of the largest inventories of vintage targets for sale. He also purchased and restored several old galleries back to working condition. It was this experience that lead to the formation of Big Boy Shooting Galleries. While advertising a restored working gallery, numerous gun clubs contacted him about purchasing the gallery to put into use. It quickly became apparent that there is a huge and growing demand for targets that are fun to shoot.
Bill Bonjonia is a born and raised Texan who has been bull riding and shooting since he was a child. He brings his creative ideas and extensive background in mechanization and automation to Big Boy. Many of the target designs stem from Bill’s appreciation of the shooting experience and creative thinking. Bill’s expertise with automation ensured that the product is modular and with interchangeable parts. He also partnered with Jerry in past restorations of the antique galleries.
Big Boy Shooting Galleries is committed to producing targets with modern methods, such as laser cut profiles, that make our targets readily distinguishable from vintage targets. Some of our target shapes are strongly influenced by vintage targets and many others are totally new, unique and original.
